Resilience

Building financial resilience amongst the communities we serve is vital to our mission to design out poverty and drive local change. We support people both to address the causes of financial crises and to move towards long-term stability by resourcing churches and organisations to provide community advice and technical support in the form of debt and welfare benefits advice in their own localities.

It is our ultimate vision to see financial resilience work within our food spaces, and have established our Money Angels programme to work towards this. Money Angels are specially trained volunteers at our Community Food Spaces who are equipped to identify and support other local people with financial worries. They will be able to refer those who need additional support into our network, so we can ensure that we are providing holistic support and creating resilient, secure and sustainable communities where we work.

All our advice is completely free, impartial and relational. Our fully-trained Financial Resilience team provide technical advice, are Debt Relief Intermediaries and are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in partnership with Community Money Advice.
